REST IN PEACE DERRION ALBERT

This past Thursday (September 24) : A Chicago sophmore honor roll student by the name of Derrion Albert was beaten to death at his school Christian Fenger Academy High School because
HE REFUSED TO JOIN A GANG.

Among those charged were Silvonus Shannon, 19, Eugene Riley, 18, and Eric Carson, 16, with first-degree murder, and they were ordered held without bond today (Monday September 28)

Albert was knocked unconscious when Carson struck him in the head with a board and the second person punched him in the face. Albert regained consciousness and was trying to get up when he was attacked a second time by five people and was struck in the head with a board by Riley and stomped in the head by Shannon.

The melee was recorded on a camera phone (as see below)

I myself watched this video once and ONLY ONCE. I have never been so appalled at something in my life. What is going ON in this world we live in?!?

WHEN is all of this nonsense going to cease? WHY can't we let people live their lives? Life is entirely too precious, especially for it to be taken so swiftly.
Sheer FUCKERY to the 295875395865th power.

What if you were in a gang and Ya homie was killed? Would YOU not be the one crying over them? What makes it so different? Is it because the other kid isn't ya family/friend?
Reqardless. its STILL stupid. people can hate other ppl for killinq their loved ones. BUT say you qo & kill someone. How is that ANY better? quess wa? that person is someone's loved one too. it just qoes around and around in a circle til everybody dead. Thats how yall want the world?

R i d i c u l o u s .

Please continue to pray for Derrion Albert and his family and friends please.

iPhone update: Pic Messaging [finally] After like 5 years.

MMS Messaging has finally come to the iPhone Friday [September 25th] . I personally think that iPhones are ridonkulously SLOW on that uptake. What the hell phone doesn't have picture messaging? My Grandmother's house phone had picture messaging -_-. Okay so maybe I'm lying. But Seriously people, as many apps as the iPhone has, picture messaging should have been one of the VERY FIRST features.

iPhone users have to sync and update their iPhones just to be able to access that feature. Come on now. All this could have been avoided if you all had Blackberries. It's clear that AT&T's head remains firmly in (that nefarious) place; the company has said that tethering will not be an option in the near future, due to the network's inability to handle the resulting traffic.

Oh yea, and one final bit of LAMENESS: MMS will only work on iPhone 3G and 3GS models. And on nearly every other cell phone made in the past five years. So original iPhone owners have to, well, deal with it.
Also:  phone calls on any model iPhone still suck. BOOYAH on that ass!

Blackberry all day!

™Featured Artist: Gifted

EMCEE/Producer/Song Writer GIFTED was born May 8th 1989, Marquis "Gifted" Hall to parents David and Novella in Newark, New Jersey, and ever since birth he was destined to be great. The only boy amongst a host of sisters, he was brought up in a broken home. However, unlike others, Gifted never let the minor obstacles lead him down the wrong path. At the age of six, he followed in the steps of his father and began drumming and at the age of seven, he began to play the piano. As time went on and he became more serious about his music, he performed at various functions and spent Sundays playing the drums and the piano for his church.

Around the age of eleven, Gifted would make beats on the desks at school and watch his fellow classmates rhyme to them. Watching his classmates rap to the beats that he made with his hands made him want to rap. When he first started rapping he wasn't very good but never having been one to give up, he kept trying and came up with different, better rhymes. His rhymes continued to improve and a few years down the line, he hooked up with a group of his friends who were recording in a basement and thus began his career as a rapper artist and producer. Gifted not only raps, he also produces many of his own tracks and even writes most of the r&b hooks featured on his songs. To gain recognition in the music world, Gifted has been a featured on YoRaps.com, Streets On Smash Magazine, in which he was on the cover. He also has been a featured artist on many underground artists and DJ mixtapes such as DJ Nemesis, King Records, 5th Street Fam, DJ Bigg L. His mixtape work has helped him develop a serious fan base in and outside of his home state of New Jersey, along with the growth of the popular social networking site MySpace.com where he has well over 250,000 plays of his music and over 1,000 free downloads of his song "Where Ever You Are".

Gifted has been ranked among the top 10 New Jersey artists on MySpace countless times. The rapper, who released his first solo mixtape "The Paper Chase" at the age of eighteen, is hard at work on his second mixtape.
